BACKGROUND
For many years Blackbird Leys Bowls Club have been raising money for Charity through the use of Fines, Charity Days with evening entertainment, A Pratt & Co. productions, and numerous other fund raisers.

CHOOSING THE CHARITY
Each year the Charity who will receive the money is chosen by the acting Captain. The captain is also the main driver for the fundraising, and performs the Fines at each friendly match.

CHARITY DAY
Each year the match against Osberton at Blackbird Leys is used as the Charity day. A match is played as normal, but with exaggerated fining and other fundraising activities, followed by our own brand of entertainment in the evening (provided by Entertainments and A. Pratt & Co.).
