2002 - NOT QUITE FOR LONGFORD AND STAN
WHEELER.
The Semi-Finals and Finals of the Longford Cup
and Stan Wheeler Trophy were played at Oxford City & County Bowls
Club with disappointment for the Blackbird Leys hopefuls of Herbie &
Bobbie Payne. Herbie lost to the eventual winner in the semi-final of
the Longford Cup in the morning, in a tight game with some very good
bowling. Bobbie managed to reach the final of the Stan Wheeler, but
could not stop the Under 25's Singles Champion Nick Welsh. Good luck to
