26th June 2005 - WALPOLE BAY - WITH SPECIAL APPEARANCE FROM A. PRATT & CO.

The visiting team of Walpole Bay BC (from Margate) were treated to a special show from the world famous A. Pratt & Co. The fun started early at 12pm with many classic sketches such as 'Phantom of the Opera' & Elvis medleys - all with a touch of the Blackbird Leys humour. In addition a BBQ was held for hungry bowlers - before moving onto the game itself starting a 3pm.
The result of the game was a 138 - 123 win for Blackbird Leys, but after a excellent day all parties went home happy.

25th June 2005 - A RARE CAPTAIN WIN ON PRESIDENTS DAY

The 2005 Presidents Day match for Elizabeth Hopcraft produced a rare win for the Captain, despite guest teams from South Oxford, Bicester & even Walpole Bay. The final score was 122 - 114, but was very close throughout. After the game entertainment was laid on to dance (and drink) the night away, with an excellent cabaret singer.
